Mar Casanova Llorens, Holds a degree in Economics and Management Science from the University of Valencia, 1989. Also, has undertaken the Executive Programme in Public Leadership, at the Business School (IE), in 2014.

 

Mar has developed her entire professional career within the scope of internationalisation. She started her professional career in the Regional Administration working for the Institute of small and medium industry (IMPIVA), where she worked at the Department of Studies and the area of International Industrial Promotion.

 

After two years, she work for the Regional Executive Office as Head of Institutional Relations with the European Union during 6 years.

Right after, she worked for the Presidential Cabinet as advisor at the Studies and Planning Office, where she coordinated different areas of the Regional Government, such as: Industry, Tourism, Welfare, Agriculture etc., and particularly the International Department.

 

In April 2007, Mar Casanova was appointed General Director of Internationalisation of the Regional Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Innovation and IVEX Counsellor, she held this post during for years.

 

In June 2011 she was appointed Regional Secretary of Economy, Industry and Commerce.

 

In February 2012 she became Regional Secretary of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, and in December 2012, Mar returned to the new Regional Ministry of Economy, Industry, Tourism and Employment as General Director of Internationalisation in order to carry out the incorporation of IVEX in IVACE. Currently, she holds the aforesaid post, General Director of Internationalisation, together with the Deputy Director position at the Valencian Institute of Entrepreneurial Competitiveness IVACE
